Great Tips, Leon. and nice, simple stretching exercises
that can be done in a daily setting, to prepare for an
enjoyable dance session!
Godd tips for any type of exercise and can be done anywhere anytime
great tips! thank you. Are you planning on demonstrating the American Rumba? I’m confused between the cross body lead with a three step turn and the slow underarm turn with a three step turn. I know you turn right in both of these but I don’t know what steps to take and what the picture is.
I will most likely have American Rumba lessons in the future as well.
Thanks
Very helpful; I’ve never heard these tips before from a dance teacher. Will you be doing more stretching and posture-type videos?
The hardest thing I find is to KEEP the posture…I can begin with a good posture, but then I lose it as soon as I start dancing. Any tips on how to keep the posture through out?
Re the point about looking up: I think that the teachers say that because the students are generally looking down. Instead of saying “look up” (the opposite of looking down), the teacher should say something like: look straight ahead, not down; or keep eyes up like when you’re driving.
