This is the last fundamental step in the Cha Cha. Just to recap, in the basic in place we did the triple step on one spot. In the progressive basic we did the triple step forward and back. And now in this side basic step we are doing the triple step sideways.

How to Cha Cha dance Steps (All steps)
very nice, what a nice teaching method.
Side basic step: so far so good. At least in front of the TV and supervised by you.
Hello Leon,
Your teaching is very nice, it’s simple and I can understand well. if the internet is good from my side it’s perfect.
Thank you very much.
It’s easy to understand. thanks
Excellent tip about not going up and down. I will pay attention to what I do when I am dancing the Cha Cha basic.
Where does the hip movement come from?
Hi Leon, This all new to me ,so my question is when i see 1-18 when this is all put together is this the whole dance??
Hi George, Thanks for your question. Steps 1-18 are all cha cha moves that you can do on their own or combine them in anyway you want. There are literally 100s of moves out there for cha cha and other ballroom dances – so there is not a finite amount of moves that makes up a dance. These are just the moves available right now and arranged by difficulty level.
Thank you for your answer. so if i met someone for the first time to dance would we have to agree on what move before dancing??
Sometimes yes. But basically you want to get to the point where you can just lead your partner into any move you want. You just need to get good and understand how to lead her into anything. Usually she would at least need to know some of the basic steps, but after that it’s up to you to lead her.
Again Thank You Leon.
Hi Leon! I have no partner as yet,but was wondering if you could do a little more on the men steps only,I seem to miss out on one step and be on the wrong leg all the time! Thank You !
Hi James, We cover men’s steps on each video, you can just rewind and watch it again – that’s what’s great about videos!
