Ever since Max Kozhevnikov had stopped dancing competitively, he has been performing shows all around the world with the lovely Beata. I must say that their shows are extraordinary! They are not the usual Latin and Ballroom shows that mainly run through their competitive dance routines. Instead, their shows are filled with many genres of dance mixed together and lots of acting. In a way, Max and Beata are revolutionizing the way dance shows are performed…
Charlie Chaplin Production #1:
The 1st Charlie Chaplin piece first caught my eye about a year ago. I was floored by how well Max got into character to play “Charlie Chaplin”. His costuming was superb: the jacket, the hat, the mustache and dark eyes really brought Charlie Chaplin to life…Beata’s “Flapper” dress was the perfect complement to Max. In addition, their moves/choreography really reflected the way Chaplin walked and acted. Charlie Chaplin # 2 is just as good as the first one. This time they are using a prop – A “crane” to dance through the entire show, how clever!
