I loved your tips becuause I get confused on what to concentrate on…now it looks so easy when you do an example…like the cha cha cha. I don’t have anyone to practice with…so try on my own…but I wish I could purchase some of your beginner lessons on CD so I can run them on my TV VCr…which is in a room that has tile floors….and I could also use a chair to practice around. DO YOU HAVE ANY DVDs I CAN PURCHASE? Please email to: [email protected]

This is what I still follow today after twenty-two years of dancing. Some of my dance partners ask me why I’m still doing the basics, some are trying go into
like you mentioned the hand-styling and movement of the hips.
Even though I have been dancing this long, and have taken a lot of lessons, I still refer to my basics.
This lesson is very valuable, and yes continue to send these tips, a little tip goes a long way.
Thanks for the tips. Its very true as beginners we are more impressed about the sassy body movements we forget the real important staff.in my country cha cha is not widely taught. Salsa and Kizomba is the main thing. I would love to learn more about cha cha from the basics.its a bit challenging especially the sassy footwork but I have to create a strong base. Thanks alot.
I don’t have any dvds for sale currently. But you can buy the 1 year membership plan and download all the lessons then burn them on a dvd so you can watch it on tv!

Felicitaciones Leon!!!
Hello, I am from Guayaquil Ecuador, my wife and me are 59 years old and are in presential classes since 2 years ago.
When I found this website was very happy because of de quality of the teacher and the classes, very clear and didactic. Now we are improvement whit this tips.
Congratulations Leon!!!!
I am very grateful that you have produced such a helpful range of dance lessons, with a consistent format that is easy to follow , and with careful staging of each phase of the lesson and multiple different view points for leaders and followers. Even after a few of your lessons, I now feel more confident that I can really improve as a dancer. I particularly appreciate your emphasizing the basic steps and movement, and carefully building on those as the lesson evolves.
If I could suggest one addition to make the lessons even more helpful for people like myself, it would be the following: I am one of those who have difficulty feeling the music (beat sequence) and moving accordingly (even after I know the steps). I also find it hard to know when (on which beat) to make the initial step, and to find (and match) the right music to the dance. So I wonder if you could add a few hints about the correct body posture and gross body movement to match the particular rhythm of the dance (even before giving the details of the actual steps). I recall seeing this approach in one of your videos and I found it very helpful, So, I would like to encourage you to either incorporate such hints in future ‘basics’ videos, or perhaps provide a separate series of videos (if you have not done so already) one for each dance, that addresses the rhythm and movement needed for that particular dance.
Thank you for helping to make dance lessons that are easy to follow, helpful and fun!
Thanks derek, we do have the musicality course here: https://www.passion4dancing.com/find-and-keep-beat-course/
But it has general musicality tips, not specific to the dance. I would like to add to that course a “per dance” timing lesson as well, as you have suggested. Thanks!

Hi Leon;
I just got in the club this month. I have been dancing for twenty years.
Your tips are awesome, the breakdown is easy to follow.
I practice basics quite a bit, like you said with the foundation, timing, his & her
steps, plus lead & follow make it much easier.
I’m following your advise, and I know it will make me a better social dancer.
Thank You,
Leon
