so glad you outlined plans for 2018. The Rodgers household looks forward to dances that you plan to add. Our dancing improves watching the technique and tips and with your combination dances helps at lot. Thank you
Happy Holidays
Viennese waltz, Polka and Samba. I’d like the video to show a short amalgamation starting in Dance position and ending in dance position so I can take it right on the floor.
Hi Leon! Do you have any plans to teach Forró? It looks like so much fun and the music is great! There are many schools of this style, but none like yours 🙂
@Raden Sumantri , Yes we will work on Bolero at some point, but most likely that will be for 2019 or later.
@ Richard Cicchetti, We do have some combos right now. But I agree not enough, so yes we will be doing more combos.
@ Amy Burcham, I’ve never heard of Forro… I looked it up, it looks similar to bachata and swing… It’s not in our plans as we’re trying to focus on the more popular dances right now.
Hi: Since Black Friday and your special price I have sent 2 e-mails stating that I have not yet receive anything confirming my registration as a member.Do I get anything or just have to wait to see if it’s on my credit card? Your sites are very good and since my wife died I have been trying to improve my dancing skills to socialize more. I am from Ontario ,Canada and my membership application was sent on Black Friday at 11;45 p.m.. Please get back to me so I will know what’s going on..Thank you and have a Merry Christmas!
@ Raymond Lammens, I have replied to both of your emails right away and never heard back from you. Did you get my emails?? From what I checked under the email: [email protected], there was no payment made during black friday so you’re not currently a member… You need to purchase a membership. You can do that here: https://www.passion4dancing.com/membership-info/
Leon, that’s neat you are adding Bachata and Hustle, my wife and I have had lessons on these at a studio but your videos are a nice complement for what we have already learned, and often we forget some moves. Also, I would like to put in a request for Night Club Two Step, we also have studio lessons on these but you videos always help.
your teaching style is excellent. I especially like the way you demonstrate how to use each step to develop a pattern to use on the dance floor. Being the person whose is responsible to lead the dance, I have a difficult time determining when to use the steps. So like I stated, you showing how to use the steps during a routine is terrific.
Keep doing what you are doing. You make a difference. My relationship with my wife has improved my dancing is improving all thanks to you. Obviously we are making the effort to practice but your online classes gives us a solid plan to follow.
Thank you.
Specific strategies/combinations for graceful collision avoidance during the traveling dances would be interesting. For example rather than just “you could use this move” starting with a given scenario ” blocked head and to the right but with 10 feet available to the left…”
The combination sets would then form/include path strategies.
Hi Leon, thanks for planning to add Night Club two Step. Looking forward to Bachata. There’s a funny story at the studio my wife and I go to regarding Bachata. My wife is a Philipina and we go to a studio where the teachers are a Pilipino husband and wife, an older couple in their early 70’s, but still very active. A year ago I asked the lady instructor why they did not have Bachata, she said I do not like that dance it is too sexual! Then a year later I saw Bachata was added to their dance list, the lady instructor said so many people asked for it I had to add it! But her husband the male instructor refuses to teach it, he said “I do not like it, it’s not Ballroom!!”. But we had fun lessons and it’s not sexual at all – only if you make it!
I agree that it is about HOW YOU DANCE IT that can make it sexual versus non-sexual… The way we do it and teach it is not sexual at all, and I always prefer a little space between me and my partner – so we don’t teach the whole body contact stuff…

Will you have Bolero videos?

Allow existing members to use the 25% discount to extend their membership.
It would probably generate enough renewals to offset the revenue lost. Plus you will have the funds now that those early renewals generates.

@Eugene – Right now our pricing is so low, that it’s tough to offer even more discount. But let me think about it.
